Synopsis[]
An imprisoned Conan and Tros are at each other's throats but are calmed by Daedikoran. The inventor and the barbarian briefly discuss the mystery of the talismans before Queen Isadona calls Conan to her bedchamber, much to the chagrin of the Zamoran guards. Unfortunately, Conan mentions another woman while in the queen's embrace, so he has to fight his way back to Daedikoran. Working together, Conan and Tros pull the iron bars from the window and the three fly away on wings Daedikoran has invented, but not before the scheming inventor has stolen Conan's amulet fragment. The three are chased by archers on horseback, and Conan, flying high to escape the arrows, causes the adhesive that holds the metallic feathers in place to freeze and fail. Conan crashes into a mountain and escapes into a passage that his pusuers refuse to enter. Conan discovers why when he is captured by the Inquisitors of Ong.

Synopsis[]
Andamo arrives in Arenjun and encounters Moru. They are both entranced by the dancing of Welyn), much to the dissapointment of the local prostitutes. The three compare notes on the Talisman, which leads to a brawl between the two men. Welyn manages to break up the fight and proposes they work together to find the Talisman. The woman secretly plans to dispose of the men once she has their help.
