Synopsis
The lookout's cry alerts the crew of the Tigress to a blue-skinned woman standing upon a lily pad in the middle of the ocean. She is brought on board, which causes N'Yaga to feel sick, but the mute girl is given safe haven on the ship as it continues its piratical ways. Some days later, B'Tumi gives the woman a necklace as a gift, and when he comes to her one night, he vanishes and is suspected to have fallen overboard. Meanwhile, N'Yaga grows more ill and Belit becomes suspicious of the girl. She orders her crew to stay away from her, but Asambi approaches the woman one night and she dives overboard, beckoning him to follow, seeming to sing in her mute voice a song only he can hear. Asambi jumps overboard and is drowned by the woman. Conan sees the tail end of this and dives into the ocean to save Asambi, but is pulled into the woman's grasp, whose song and kiss entrance Conan. Belit calls to Conan from the boat, which snaps Coman out of the trance and he manages to struggle free and drag the girl to the Tigress, but as he climbs aboard sees that the woman has turned into seaweed. Shaken, the crew sail away.
