Ajangi then communes with Jhebbal Sag and is instructed to sacrifice Conan and Belit. Meanwhile, in the caverns below Sholo has managed to makes his way out of the river and to the dungeon, where Belit attempts to rouse the women, including Nyami to rebel against Ajangi. Belit sees Sholo through the barred window and manages to get the lion to pull apart the bars, but the other captive women, fearful of Ajangi's wrath, refuse to escape.
